    Good ones!

Its quite interesting that the Cymbidiums i saw 15 days back in north kanara were past their blooming time. I guess they have different time patterns!!

I went to the exhibition. They are selling all commercial hybrid orchids.
I met T. Ananda Rao and a professor from IIS.

Botanical Survey of india has some orchid painting from 19th century. Paintings are really nice.

    @ Dreamer:

Hybrid cymbidiums are available in the North East from Kalimpong and Sikkim. They will not bloom in the plains though. You should look out for species or hybrids of the following species which will bloom for you.

Cymbidium ensifolium, bicolor, aloifolium, madidum, dayanum, atropurpureum, finlaysonianum, canaliculatum.

They are not as beautiful as the cool growing ones though.
